Rick is a native of Salt Lake City. A successful athlete in high school and college. All-State in high school football, (Skyline in SLC) and twice College All-Conference, (Ricks College). He has coached College Football at Ricks College and Dixie State College. Rick has had an extensive career in sports marketing including positions with L.A. Gear, Cape Athletic and Above The Rim. He and his wife have five children.

Potter is entering his third year as the Voice of the RoadRunners. He has previously worked in the Golden Baseball League with the Mesa Miners in 2005. During the GBL off-season, Potter serves as an Assistant Sports Information Director at Dixie State College of Utah and is the Official Radio Voice for Red Storm Atheltics. Originally from Southern California, he is a die-hard Dodgers and Lakers fan and vows never become a Jazz fan no matter how long he lives in Utah.  Potter enjoys reading and watching sports in his spare time.
